29 CFR 1910.1053(d)(3)(iii): Where the most recent exposure monitoring indicates that employee exposures are at or above the action level but at or below the PEL, the employer shall repeat such monitoring within six months of the most recent monitoring. a) 100 South Jacob Street, Mount Joy, PA - Foundry Operations - On or about November 3, 2022, silica air monitoring was not conducted within six months of the most recent monitoring period as required. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR 1910.134(k)(6): The employer did not provide the basic advisory information on respirators, as presented in Appendix D of 29 CFR 1910.134, who wear respirators when such use was not required by the employer. a) 100 South Jacob Street, Mount Joy, PA - Foundry Operations - On or about November 3, 2022, employees who voluntarily wore elastomeric respirators during foundry operations did not received training, per Appendix D of 29 CFR 1910.134, therefore exposing employees to possible health hazards. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
