29 CFR  1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs, with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems,  or personal fall arrest systems:   On or about May 18, 2023, employees installing roofing shingles on a three-story apartment building were not protected from fall hazards of approximately 141 feet to the ground below.  The employer was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(10), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1564690, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on May 23, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 149 Princeton Crossroads, Princeton, TX 75407.

29 CFR  1926.503(b)(1):The employer did not verify compliance with paragraph (a) of this section by preparing a written (training) certification record including the name or other identity of the employee trained, the date(s) of the training, and the signature of the person who conducted the training or the signature of the employer.  On or about May 18, 2023, and at times prior thereto, where employees performing roofing activities were exposed to fall hazards up to 141 feet, the employer did not verify by written certification that employees received training in recognition and avoidance of fall hazards at heights over 6 feet to the ground below.
