29 CFR  1926.501(b)(1):Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems:  (a) On or about 06/10/2024 - 270 Vaughan Lane, Pell City, AL 35125, employees engaged in framing activities on a commercial structure were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 40 feet to the ground below.  Roberto Martinez dba Martinez Construction was previously cited for a first repeat-serious violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard  29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1673730, citation number 2, item number 1a and was affirmed as a final order on 09/14/2023, with respect to a workplace located at 15763 Braly Blvd., Athens, AL 35611  Roberto Martinez dba Martinez Construction was previously cited for a serious violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1352858, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 11/09/2018, with respect to a workplace located at 320 Commons Drive, Birmingham, AL, 35209.
