29 CFR  1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  On or about 3/28/2025, the employer did not use one or more methods of machine guarding to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from machine hazards associated with using a pneumatic press.  An employee operating the pneumatic Potter Paddle Press machine (SN: S460799) amputated part of his right ring figure when he placed it on the machine.
