29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a. In Building 1 of the main shop area, at 5130 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, Florida: On or about April 30, 2025, the employer exposed employees to caught-in and amputation hazards, in that the Willis Drill Press did not have a guard properly installed to provide protection of the point of operation and rotating parts. b. In Building 1 of the main shop area, at 5130 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, Florida: On or about April 30, 2025, the employer exposed employees to amputation hazards, in that the GEKA-Ironworker did not have a guard properly installed on the punch to provide protection of the point of operation. c. In Building 1 of the main shop area, at 5130 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, Florida: On or about April 30, 2025, the employer exposed employees to amputation hazards, in that the C-650 MNC Bandsaw did not have a guard properly installed on the unused portion of the blade to provide protection of the point of operation. d. In Building 1 of the main shop area, at 5130 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, Florida: On or about April 30, 2025, the employer exposed employees to amputation hazards, in that the FMB Bandsaw Orion Model did not have a guard properly installed on the unused portion of the blade to provide protection of the point of operation. e.
