A section of the plexiglass about 5 feet above the ground was removed.  Employees can reach through the missing section of guarding to contact moving parts.  B.)Amphenol Thermometrics Inc. -Saint Marys, On or about 5/7/25 and times prior thereto: Employees who operate the 3558 were exposed to rotating parts and caught between hazards when jogging the rotary table during set up.  The machine was not outfitted with effective alternative safeguarding measures during set up that kept employees away from the danger zone. During set up of 3558 the table rotated, and an employee's hand was caught between the table and the airline resulting in a laceration.  ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below).
