29 CFR  1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  a) On or about September 15, 2026, at the maintenance bay #1: an employee was exposed to amputation hazards while bracing the sweeper of a McNeilus Rear Loader Truck during a hydraulic leak inspection, in that, a 4-inch by 4-inch piece of wood was placed under the sweeper blade to keep it in place while he pulled the lever to force the blade flush against the block to secure it for inspection.
