29 CFR  1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  Fabrication Department, 150 Industrial Park Road, Middletown, CT 06457: On/or about February 9, 2026, and times prior to, the employer exposed the employees to caught-in/entanglement hazards from the unguarded rotating horizontal spindle, in that the employer did not provide guarding or safeguarding to protect the employees while grinding the teeth/grooves off of the industrial black neoprene belt while the Jet lathe was in operation.  Habasit America, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.212(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1699508.015, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on April 3, 2024, with respect to a workplace located at 805 Satellite Boulevard, Suwanee, GA, 30024.
