29 CFR  1910.307(c)(2)(i): Equipment in hazardous (classified) location(s) was not approved for the class of location:  At the workplace located at 5800 Gardner Ave, Kansas City, MO; employees were exposed to fire and smoke hazards from inadequately protected cords and electrical connections in close proximity to accumulations of grain dust and intermittent suspension of grain dust in the following instances :   (a)  There were two extension cords powering a sump pump and heat tapes within the basement work area near pit 3 that were not rated for class II division 1 locations.  (b) There was a sump pump being used to remove excess water in pit 3 of the basement that was not rated for class II division 1 locations.  (c)  There were two heat tapes being used to keep pipe from freezing near the basement pit 3 work area that were not rated for class II division 1 locations.  (d) There were 3 separate electrical pigtails being used to power electrical equipment in the basement that were not rated for class ll division 1 locations.   These instances were documented on or about 2-19-2026.
