An employee was attempting to dislodge a small piece of stock that remained in an automated horizontal band saw's cutting area after the initial cut was made. He contacted the cutting portion of the blade during the upward stroke, lacerating his left hand.
An employee was operating a strip saw. As the employee shut off the saw, their right index and middle fingertips were amputated by the blade before it came to a complete stop.
