On February 1, 2016, an employee was unloading parts from a conveyor when the conveyor stopped because a part was stuck upstream. The employee attempted to retrieve the part when a piece of steel began to index, got caught, and pinched her finger. Her right thumb was amputated.

At about 9:45 a.m. on March 10, 2025, an employee was using a 5-ton overhead crane to move a right-hand check fixture, weighing 5,150 pounds, in a coordinate-measuring machine lab. As the crane lifted the fixture, the metal sling securing the fixture slipped over the employee's left thumb. The thumb was crushed between the metal slip and fixture, and the last joint was amputated.
