An employee was preparing to euthanize a heifer using a captive bolt gun. He armed the captive bolt gun and repositioned himself for better footing. When he fired the stunner, the gun shot into his right hand and wrist, causing tendon and nerve damage that required hospitalization.

An employee was setting a roof truss when their thumb became trapped between the roof truss and the steel plate. The distal phalanx of the thumb was surgically amputated.
