An employee was opening the weather doors at the end of the jet way. The door is held closed by a latch pin and utilizes a hydraulic device to hold the door open during passenger loading/unloading from the aircraft. When the employee released the latch pin, the door swung back, knocking the employee to the floor of the jet way resulting in a back injury.
