An employee was holding the lock for a cable door assembly. When the assembly was released, his left thumb was caught by the door latch braided steel cable resulting in a partial amputation to the thumb tip.

An employee was preparing meat logs to be placed in the meat slicer. The employee's hand slipped down while the meat slicer was in operation and the blade caused an amputation to the left middle finger.
