As the employee was walking away, the coworker assaulted him from behind with a punch to the head. He lost consciousness and fell into hot asphalt that had been freshly poured nearby. He was hospitalized with burns to the left side of the face, the left shoulder, and left forearm.

An employee was helping a skid steer operator. The skid steer struck the employee, who suffered a broken right leg. The employee was hospitalized.

An employee was in a ditch assisting with setting a water pipe. A pipe attached to machinery with a chain struck the employee's leg when the equipment was moved. The employee suffered a fracture under the knee cap that required surgery.

An employee was crossing over a sorting belt and jumped down onto the catwalk next to the belt. The employee sustained a right ankle fracture and dislocation.

On November 7, 2023, at 6:00 PM, an employee was getting off a roof at the end of the work day. He missed a step and then jumped from the ladder to the ground sustaining a fractured ankle.

An employee was on the table of a machine. She went to jump down from the table and fractured her lower leg on the ground. The employee was hospitalized.

An employee was loading a flatbed trailer when a forklift bumped into the trailer. A wheelset began to roll in his direction and the employee jumped off the trailer to avoid it. The wheelset caught him on the leg and he landed on his shoulder on the ground. He sustained a laceration below the left kneecap and a dislocated shoulder.

An employee jumped off the loading dock to assist a package delivery driver who fell. He sustained an ankle fracture that required surgery.

An employee was operating a battery-powered broom to clean demolition debris off the top of the outermost bridge girder. The girder was approximately 11 feet above the demolition scaffold below. The employee fell approximately 8 feet to wind bracing below. The employee was hospitalized with a pelvis/tailbone fracture. Fall protection was in place at the time.

An employee was cleaning out an inlet pipe in a stormwater structure. The employee stepped back, fell into the pipe, and landed on concrete 13 feet below, at the bottom of the structure. He suffered a broken back.

A concrete batch plant operator was assisting with clearing spoil piles using a skid steer. The skid steer backed into a stationary screen plant. The employee's left little finger was crushed between the controls of the skid steer and the screen plant, resulting in a fracture and laceration. The employee's finger was surgically amputated.

An employee was operating a roller and paving a small pathway next to a pavilion. The ground was on a slight pitch, causing him to reach up toward the roll cage to stabilize himself. His right fifth finger was pinched between the roll cage and the rafter of the pavilion. The employee sustained a partial degloving injury with partial traumatic amputation.

An employee was working with paving equipment and heard a noise on the opposite side of the machine he was working on. When the machine stopped, the employee went to the opposite side and crouched down to investigate the noise. A mini track loader backed up and drove over the employee's leg.
