At about 2:00 a.m. on March 11, 2022, an employee was collecting a product sample from a macerator unit using an extended bar with a cup at the end. When the employee opened the small compartment of the macerator to collect the sample, the bar became stuck in the auger. The employee's left hand was caught between the bar and the edge of the compartment door. He suffered a radial fracture to the index finger.
