Final narrative
An employee was lifting a unit load device's lock into the upright/locked
position after the container had been slid into place on a 777 airplane. The control lever to move the container was struck and the container moved, catching the employee's left ring finger in the lock. The fingertip was partially severed.
An employee was assigned to work on both levels (upper and lower) to load and unload pallets. The employee entered the cargo door and stepped onto a roller/loader. The employee was hit by a moving pallet entering the right side of the top load (upper level) of the aircraft. The employee was hospitalized with a broken right foot.
