An employee was shutting the doors on a scrap trailer when he slipped and fell onto a sharp object that caused a 4-inch wide and 1-inch deep laceration to his left knee (2 inches below).
An employee was removing straps from a load of cardboard on a truck. A strap broke causing the pile of cardboard to collapse and knock the employee off the truck. The employee fell to the ground, fracturing his back.
An employee was using a rear load trash truck to empty an 800-pound cardboard collection dumpster. The dumpster over tilted and then rested against the truck. The employee pulled the dumpster back creating a free fall until the dumpster was caught by the lifting cable. The dumpster struck the employee on the left shoulder before coming to rest on the cable, resulting in a shoulder fracture and dislocation. The employee was hospitalized.
