Final narrative
On December 20, 2019, an employee was installing insulation for an HVAC unit when he possibly stepped on a nail. The next day, his middle toe became infected, requiring hospitalization.
A fire sprinkler pipe burst or became detached from an anchor, causing large pieces of piping to fall. A falling piece of the pipe stuck the employee in the shoulder and head. The employee suffered broken ribs, a broken sternum, a heart injury, two punctured lungs, and a crushed back vertebra that caused paralysis from the chest down.
