An employee was operating a motorized concrete buggy that was filled with concrete when his lower right leg was pinned and broken between the buggy and a fence.

An employee was using a chop saw to cut a granite curb. When he set the saw down, the blade was still rotating and made contact with the curb. The saw then kicked back and struck the employee in the right shoulder and forearm, slicing his skin.

An employee was breaking down traffic control equipment on a county road. A car struck the employee, who suffered a right knee dislocation (with soft tissue involvement) and a lacerated left forearm, along with abrasions and other lacerations.

On November 10, 2023, an employee was flagging and directing temporary traffic controls on a natural gas line replacement project. The employee was struck by a motor vehicle and sustained multiple injuries including an internal tear to an artery, a shoulder injury, and a broken leg.

On November 9, 2023, an employee was picking up cones and equipment from the roadway in a work zone when they were struck by a motor vehicle. The employee sustained a fractured right leg.

A dump truck driver was standing inside a designated work zone while cleaning out the bed of the truck when they were struck by a car and sustained a traumatic brain injury and fractures.

An employee was in the road looking inside a manhole when they were struck by a box truck. The employee sustained injuries to his head, jaw, and pelvis that required hospitalization.

An employee was operating a battery-powered broom to clean demolition debris off the top of the outermost bridge girder. The girder was approximately 11 feet above the demolition scaffold below. The employee fell approximately 8 feet to wind bracing below. The employee was hospitalized with a pelvis/tailbone fracture. Fall protection was in place at the time.

An employee was cleaning out an inlet pipe in a stormwater structure. The employee stepped back, fell into the pipe, and landed on concrete 13 feet below, at the bottom of the structure. He suffered a broken back.

A concrete batch plant operator was assisting with clearing spoil piles using a skid steer. The skid steer backed into a stationary screen plant. The employee's left little finger was crushed between the controls of the skid steer and the screen plant, resulting in a fracture and laceration. The employee's finger was surgically amputated.

An employee was operating a roller and paving a small pathway next to a pavilion. The ground was on a slight pitch, causing him to reach up toward the roll cage to stabilize himself. His right fifth finger was pinched between the roll cage and the rafter of the pavilion. The employee sustained a partial degloving injury with partial traumatic amputation.

An employee was working with paving equipment and heard a noise on the opposite side of the machine he was working on. When the machine stopped, the employee went to the opposite side and crouched down to investigate the noise. A mini track loader backed up and drove over the employee's leg. The employee sustained fractures to their lower leg, ankle, and foot.

An employee was troubleshooting the control setup for a variable air volume box above a ceiling. The employee's hand came into contact with an exposed, energized 277-volt wire that had loosened from its terminal on the box's assembly. He was shocked and fell off a ladder. His left hand passed across the ceiling grid and was lacerated. He also suffered an electrical burn to the right hand and was hospitalized.

An employee was assembling a baker type scaffold. He was beginning to transverse down the scaffold, approximately six feet off the ground, when the scaffold tipped over and he fell. The employee was hospitalized with a fractured femur.

An employee was stocking and ordering the meat case on the sales floor when he slipped and fell due to water on the floor. The employee was hospitalized with a fractured ankle and required surgery.

An employee was working on an exhaust fan on the roof when he tripped on a wire and fell to the ground. The employee sustained scrapes on his elbow, and a fractured right knee with a torn ACL. The employee was hospitalized.

An employee was climbing a scaffold when he slipped and fell 10 to 15 feet to the ground. The employee was hospitalized with a fractured ankle.
