An employee was standing at two sawhorses, assembling pieces of wood to be part of a larger concrete form work. She was holding a 2-by-4 with her left hand and a gas-powered nail gun in her right hand. When she fired a 16-penny nail into the wood, it hit a knot, turned out, and punctured her left index finger.
Three employees were conducting inventory in a box trailer. A semi-truck was delivering material to the top of the site when it rolled backward down the hill, striking the parked box trailer. Two employees were hospitalized. Employee 1 sustained a fracture to their back. Employee 2 sustained fractures to their facial area.
An employee was installing wood trim surrounding a skylight inside a home. While holding a piece of trim in it's desired location, his pneumatic nail gun discharged, sending a 3/4-inch pin nail into his left forearm.
