An employee was performing maintenance on a vehicle, tripped over an extension cord and fell breaking a hip.
An employee stepped on the lip of a deck plate and his foot slipped into a pot of ore, resulting in burns to the lower left ankle and foot. The employee was hospitalized.
Two employees were welding the cracked edges of a crucible. The crucible fell off the platform on which it was placed. Employee 1 suffered a hip fracture when part of the crucible fell onto his hip while he was on the floor welding. Employee 2 was struck on the back of the head by a piece of the hoisting material resulting in a skull fracture. Both employees were hospitalized.
