An employee was mounting a snowmobile to conduct a status check on equipment in the field when he inadvertently activated the throttle, causing the snowmobile to surge forward. The sudden momentum of the forward movement pulled him backwards, causing the throttle to remain engaged. He was then thrown off of the snowmobile and landed onto some parked snow guns, suffering rib fractures, vertebrae fractures, a lung contusion, and a kidney contusion.
An employee skiing on the Larry Fale Trail was struck by another skier. As a result, the employee suffered suspected rib fractures and other potential injuries to the shoulder and torso areas.
