An employee was standing on the bed of a crane, waiting to unhook a concrete block that the crane had just lifted off the ground. The crane hit an energized electrical wire and the employee was shocked, suffering internal burns and a heart arrhythmia. The employee was hospitalized.

As the employee lowered his rod holder down into the lift basket, the rod contacted the basket and energized it.
