An employee was pouring a mold with a full ladle of aluminum. He bumped the mold and molten aluminum splashed onto him. He then dropped the ladle and more aluminum splashed onto his left leg and foot. The employee sustained burns requiring skin grafts.

An employee was handling and cutting a 44 lb. aluminum cast on a vertical saw work station. The cast became snagged on the saw as the employee attempted to cut the cast. The employee attempted to pull the cast loose from the saw and the saw blade forced the cast downward.
