As the employee turned around after adjusting the temperature, he slipped on the lid of an equipment case and fell. The employee twisted when he fell on the floor and injured his right knee below the patella. The employee sustained swelling, a severe hematoma, and pulmonary embolisms requiring hospitalization and surgery.
