Final narrative
An employee was guiding the front of a cart that was carrying a truck body across a service pit while two other employees pushed from the rear. The employee was holding the tongue with a hitch attachment. As he ascended the stairs, his left little finger was caught between the hitch and the side of the top step. The employee's little finger was severed between the first and second knuckle.

An employee was setting up a sheet of 0.04-inch aluminum to cut on a shear. As he got close to the end of the sheet, he pressed the foot pedal to make another cut, which activated the material holders. The holders crushed the employee's right middle and ring fingers resulting in fractures and amputations down to the first knuckle. The employee was hospitalized.
