An employee was cleaning a single screen machine that had been jammed by a garden hose. The employee exited the machine onto the belt guard and jumped from the belt guard to the ground three feet below. When he landed, he broke his left femur.

To clear a jam, a temporary employee climbed on top of the in-feed conveyor for residential recyclable materials and struck the operating steel paddle wheel with his foot and broke his big toe. He was admitted to the hospital as an in-patient for his injury.
