An employee was using an acetylene torch to cut through a 36-inch steel air compressor pipe for the removal of a compressor from the jobsite. After the employee cut the top and sides of the pipe, it buckled and pinned his leg against the floor/wall of the area below. The employee sustained a compound fracture to the right tibia and fibula.
