An employee was on a 10-foot ladder using a torque wrench to fix a 2-inch cast iron vent line on the ceiling. The employee fell to the concrete floor and was hospitalized with injuries including fractured cervical vertebrae, a concussion, broken ribs, torn ligaments in the left shoulder, and a dislocation and laceration of the left ring finger.
