The employee then stepped off the EPJ while his hand was on the EPJ control handle. The EPJ continued its forward momentum and the employee's right foot was caught between a pallet in the aisle and the EPJ. The employee sustained a crush injury to his right hallux that required surgery and was hospitalized.
