Final narrative
An employee was going through the inventory and sorting and removing empty containers. The employee was standing beside a stack of pallets that were on a pallet jack when a forklift drove into the stack. The stack tipped over, pinching the employee s right foot against a wall. The employee sustained an open fracture to the tibia/fibula, a crush injury to the right foot, lacerations to the medial ankle and calcaneal area, bruising, and swelling. The employee was hospitalized and required surgery.
