A maintenance technician was changing a wheel on an electric pallet jack. When the employee went to reposition one of the stands supporting the jack, the jack began to lean to one side and fell. The top of the jack struck the employee on the back, resulting in multiple fractures. The employee was hospitalized, requiring hip surgery.
