29 CFR 1926.404(b)(1)(i): The employer shall use either ground fault circuit interrupters (gfci) as specified in paragraph (b)(1)(ii) of this section or an assured equipment grounding conductor program as specified in paragraph (b)(1)(iii) of this section to protect employees on construction sites. These requirements are in addition to any other requirements for equipment grounding conductors. Orono Student Apartments - The Homelite generator, supplying power to the circular saw and compressor, was not provided with a gfci.

29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(v): A body belt shall be worn and a lanyard attached to the boom or basket when working from an aerial lift. Note to paragraph (b)(2)(v): As of January 1, 1998, Subpart M of this part (1926.502(d)) provides that body belts are not acceptable as part of a personal fall arrest system. The use of a body belt in a tethering system or in a restraint system is acceptable and is regulated under 1926.502(e). Orono Student Apartments - Fall protection equipment was not worn by the operator of a JLG aerial lift.
