29 CFR 1926.20(b)(2): The employer did not initiate and maintain programs which provided for frequent and regular inspections of the job site, materials and equipment to be made by a competent person(s)   a)  57 Wellesley Way, Evesham, NJ: On or about 8/20/15, the employer had not initiated a program for a competent person to conduct frequent and regular inspections of the jobsite, to identify hazards and/or stop the work in the event workers were placed in a hazardous condition.  As such, employees were conducting roof truss framing activities without proper use of fall protection.  Additionally, workers were exposed to puncture hazards due to scrap lumber with upward facing protruding nails in the work area, struck by hazards of the eye while using circular saws and pneumatic nail guns without eye protection and  were also exposed to potential electrical shock from a frayed extension cord used to power circular saws.     Simple Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.20(b)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1046032, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 05/27/15, with respect to a workplace located at 483 Stanford Hill Road, Block 1159, Lot 19.25, Lakewood NJ.  IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM.  FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

As such employees were exposed to a fall hazard of greater than 20 feet from the structure's framing to the ground below.        Simple Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.20(b)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1046032, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 05/27/15, with respect to a workplace located at 483 Stanford Hill Road, Block 1159, Lot 19.25, Lakewood NJ. 29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee who was exposed to fall hazards that enabled each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards.  a)  57 Wellesley Way, Evesham, NJ: On or about 8/20/15, employees were conducting roof truss framing activities without the use of any form of fall protection resulting in the employees being exposed to a fall hazard of greater than 20 feet from the structure's framing to the ground below.   The employer did not provide training for employees exposed to fall hazards, to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed to minimize fall hazards.     Simple Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.20(b)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1046032, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on 05/27/15, with respect to a workplace located at 483 Stanford Hill Road, Block 1159, Lot 19.25, Lakewood NJ.
