29 CFR 1915.115(a)(1): When used to transfer materials or equipment from or to a vessel, cranes which are placed onboard barges, other vessels, or on wingwalls of floating drydocks, were not tested and certified in accordance with the standards provided in 29 CFR 1919 of Hoisting and Hauling Equipment by accredited persons. Aft working barge: On or about June 8, 2017 and times prior thereto, the derrick mounted on the stern of the barge did not have an inspection performed by an accredited agency able to perform the inspection under the 1919 standards. This exposed employees to struck-by hazards from potential defects with the derrick.
