29 CFR 1915.134(b): Work rests were not kept a distance not to exceed 1/8 inch from the surface of the wheel.  F/V Alaska Mist, Coastal Dock, Engine Room; on or about 05 February 2018 and times prior thereto, two instances were noted where the work rest on bench grinders were not properly adjusted to a maximum of one-eighth of an inch from the abrasive wheel.        a. Electrical room, a Dayton 8-inch bench grinder, model not legible, serial number 604477XJ94B had the tool rest adjusted to greater than 1/8 inch from the abrasive wheel. Distance was 1/4 inch from the abrasive wheel.       b. Gear room, a Dayton 8-inch bench grinder, model not legible, serial number not legible; had the tool rest adjusted to greater than 1/8 inch from the abrasive wheel. Distance was 1/4 inch from the abrasive wheel.   This condition exposed employees to a caught in hazard.
