29 CFR  1910.22(a)(2): The floor of each workroom is maintained in a clean and, to the extent feasible, in a dry condition.  When wet processes are used, drainage must be maintained and, to the extent feasible, dry standing places, such as false floors, platforms, and mats must be provided.  On or about May 20, 2021, the employer failed to ensure that all work areas were kept clan and dry. This exposed employees to slip, trip and fall hazards.   Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d).

29 CFR  1910.305(a)(2)(x):Flexible cords and cables shall be protected from accidental damage, as might be caused, for example, by sharp corners, projections, and doorways or other pinch points.  On or about May 20, 2021 the employer did not ensure that flexible cords used in the workplace were protected from accidental damage. There were flexible cords running through the walkways where employees walk and work throughout the day. This exposed employees to burns from arcing and electrical fires and also shock hazards.  Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d).

29 CFR  1910.305(g)(2)(iii):Flexible cords and cables shall be connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief is provided that will prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws.  On or about May 20, 2021, the employer failed to ensure that Flexible cords and cables were connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief was provided that would prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws. This exposed employees to electric shock and/or burns in the event the cord was pulled from the wire terminals.   Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d).

Portable electric equipment and flexible cords used in highly conductive work locations (such a those inundated with water or other conductive liquids), or in job locations where employees are likely to contact water or conductive liquids, shall be approved for those locations.  On or about May 20, 2021, the employer failed to provide approved portable and flexible cords that would be used in highly conductive work locations such as water, foam, and other liquid products. This exposed employees to a shock hazard.  Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d)
