The employer did not ensure that when wet processes are used, drainage is be maintained and, to the extent feasible, dry standing places, such as false floors, platforms, and mats are provided.  Battery Charging Area, Near the Superthrive Department: Oil was on the floor creating a slipping hazard.

29 CFR  1910.22(c):  The employer did not provide, and ensure each employee uses, a safe means of access and egress to and from walking-working surfaces.  Dirt Department:  A step from the grinding platform was not maintained in a safe manner.  The step broke on February 2, 2022, while a worker was coming down from the grinder platform resulting in a injury. The step was not repaired and bags of dirt were being used to access and egress from the platform.

OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1):Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees exposed to rack collapse and overhead struck - by hazards while working in the warehouse:  a. Main Drive Aisle: Sections 6-7 and 2-3 had damaged storage rack legs.  b. Second Warehouse: Several storage racks  in aisle 27 had damaged storage rack legs.  The  Plantation Products dba Green Garden Products was previously cited for a violation 5(a)(1), which was contained  in OSHA inspection number 1228736, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 11-6-17, with respect to a workplace located at 202 South Washington Street, Norton, MA 02766.
