29 CFR 1910.335(a)(1)(i): Employees working in areas where there were potential electrical hazards were not provided with electrical protective equipment that was appropriate for the specific parts of the body that needed to be protected and for the work being performed.  a) Transformer Yard - 210 Ann Ave. Brewton AL.; On or about August 21, 2024 and at times prior thereto the employer exposed employees to electrical/arc flash hazards in that employees were to perform maintenance on a switch gear for the #4 furnace disconnect exposing themselves to live components operating at 12,479 volts without using the correct rated electrical protective equipment (PPE).
