On 9/5/2020, at approximately 10:40 a.m., a Lowe's employee was making a delivery at a customer's home. The employee had positioned a washer on the lift gate of the delivery truck and was attempting to step around the washer when he fell off the lift gate, which was raised several feet off the ground. As the employee fell, he grabbed the washer and pulled it down on top of him. The washer landed on his abdomen. He was hospitalized with fractured ribs, a fractured C7 vertebra, and a head injury.

An employee had been retrieving a one-gallon pail of paint from a shelf. While descending a three-step step ladder, the employee fell from the second step to the floor and sustained a broken hip.

The employee fell backward from the impact and the back of their head struck the asphalt. The employee was hospitalized due to brain bleed and a skull fracture.
