As one of the employees was removing the bolts on the pump flange, the pump separated and hot liquid corn mash was expelled onto the two injured employees. Employee 1 was hospitalized for burns to the right ear and cheek and a forehead contusion. Employee 2 was hospitalized for burns to the hands, arms, legs, torso, and right foot.
