Three maintenance employees were preparing to remove a pump for repairs. As one of the employees was removing the bolts on the pump flange, the pump separated and hot liquid corn mash was expelled onto the two injured employees. Employee 1 was hospitalized for burns to the right ear and cheek and a forehead contusion. Employee 2 was hospitalized for burns to the hands, arms, legs, torso, and right foot.
