Final narrative
An employee was about to weld a piece of cable from the east side cable to the west side cable. The west side was already clamped off and the employee was putting the east side into the clamp on the cable welder. As he was lowering the guard, the clamp guard actuated catching his right middle finger in the clamp and amputating the fingertip.
