Final narrative
An employee was holding a sheet of metal with a coworker while another coworker was operating a brake press machine. One of his coworkers told him to move the brake press's pedal away from their work station. As he moved the pedal with his foot, he lost balance and caught himself by resting his right hand on the brake press. At the same time, the press engaged and amputated his right pinky finger.
On October 14, 2020, an employee was installing ductwork from the third rung of an A-frame ladder. He fell to the floor 4 feet 9 inches below, landing on his back and suffering a cracked vertebra in his back. He was hospitalized.
