Final narrative
Two employees were descending in an aerial lift after doing bridge work. The boom and basket became stuck against the bridge girder. When the boom came loose, the wheels of the boom lift came off the ground and threw the employees out of the basket. Both suffered broken legs, and one was hospitalized.
An employee was completing a post-assembly inspection of the main hoist cable of a lattice crawler crane as it was being spooled onto the drum. His left hand became pinched between the drum and the cable, resulting in the partial amputation of his ring and little fingers.
An employee was trying to move a 900-pound bridge beam bearing. His left middle finger was pinched between the bearing and the dunnage it had been sitting on, and was partially amputated.
