An employee was operating the crosscut machine, which uses table extensions for cutting larger rugs. To unfold a table, the employee pushed in the left bracket and then went to push in the right bracket. When he pushed in the bracket that is underneath the table, the extension came down, catching his fingertip between the middle and right table extensions. This resulted in a partial amputation and a fracture to the fingertip.
