A maintenance technician was inside the bucket of a bucket truck, which was on the side of the highway. The bucket was 20 feet in the air when the bucket truck was struck by a passing vehicle. The employee was thrown from the bucket to the ground and sustained a broken pelvis, fractured ribs, and a dislocated shoulder. The employee was hospitalized.
