On September 15, 2021, an employee was repairing a jackhammer while standing near the front of a furnace platform used to set ladles. The employee was pinched between the ladle transfer carrier and the platform, suffering cracked vertebrae and cracked ribs. The employee was hospitalized.

An employee was walking back to her workstation. A forklift reversed a short distance, then completed a U-turn and struck her, running over her lower extremities. She was hospitalized with a broken ankle.
