An employee was conducting maintenance on a vehicle. He was replacing torque rods underneath the vehicle when the differential moved and lacerated his right hand resulting in hospitalization.
An employee picked up a plastic 10-gallon recycling bin and carried it over to empty it into the bunker. He walked back to his position holding the empty bin. While walking, he tossed the bin down to the floor from waist level. The empty bin bounced off the floor and tipped over, causing him to trip over the bin and fall on his left side.
